Weigela blossoming Variegata
Weigela florida Variegata
Maximum height of adult weigela: 1.5-1.8 m. Maximum crown width: 1.5-2 m.
Crown shape: spreading, wide, round. Leaves: oval with sharp tips, green with white or yellow edging, 6-8 cm long.
Flowers: bell-shaped, flower length up to 4 cm. It blooms with numerous pink flowers, collected in inflorescences. Flowering begins in early June, possibly re-flowering in late summer.
Growth rate: average, annual growth - 15-20 cm.
Location: grows well on loose, fertile soils, but does not tolerate stagnant water, saline soil. Prefers sunny, open places, partial shade. In the shade, flowering is weakened. It is frost-resistant, but it is recommended to cover young bushes for the winter.
Applicable to: Great for creating borders, ribbons. Looks great in single and group plantings. It stands out effectively against the background of the lawn.
