European linden (Latin Tilia europaea) is a majestic deciduous tree of the Malvaceae family. Habitat: mixed and deciduous forests of Europe. Cultivated in many European countries, incl. in Ukraine, Greece, Poland, Italy, Austria, Sweden, Switzerland. In Germany there is a whole linden alley Unter den Linden, which is translated as "Under the Lindens".
Features and advantages of European linden: Linden is an excellent honey plant and a source of linden blossom. Has an impressive tent-shaped dense crown. Linden has a lifespan of over 500 years. Resistant to frost and urban conditions.
Maximum height of an adult tree: 25-40 meters. Maximum crown diameter: 10-15 meters.
