Berberis thunbergii Powwow

Maximum height of an adult barberry: 1.2-1.5 m. Maximum crown width: 80-100 cm.

Crown shape: vertical, columnar. Leaves: rounded, young - yellow, then green, some with light specks. Flowers: light yellow. Growth rate: fast growing, 15-20 cm per year.

Location: undemanding to soils, tolerates drought well. Prefers sunny places, but can grow in light partial shade. Tolerates a haircut well.

Applies to: To create hedges. Looks great in single and mixed plantings.
