Italian garden: orderliness, sophistication and serenity

Italian garden: orderliness, sophistication and serenity

A person who has been to Italy at least once will never forget the diversity of Mediterranean nature: mountains, rivers, lakes, hills, an amazing variety of plants.

I would like to contemplate the beauty of the Italian expanses as often as possible.

If the trip takes a lot of time, effort and money, which means that not everyone succeeds in doing it with enviable frequency, then everyone can create a little Italy in their yard.

The main condition for the landscape of the Italian style is the multi-level.

If there are no mounds in the yard, they are created artificially, pouring a little more soil into one place. The hilly effect can be achieved by planting plants of different heights in zones. The levels are delimited by low wooden fences, curbs and stairs. Such decoration makes the site fabulous, attractive and alluring, leading to the depths, where the main attraction is hidden - the pond.

A pond or even a small fountain becomes the highlight of the Italian landscape.

It is easier to create a reservoir, the main thing is to choose a container of the desired volume and dig it into the ground. The only problem that can puzzle and complicate the life of the happy owners of the pond is cleaning it. If you do not regularly clean the container and do not change the water, it will become waterlogged, acquire an ugly color and an unpleasant odor. The pond can be decorated with artificial beautiful lotus flowers.

It will be a little more difficult to create a fountain on your site: in addition to the container, you also need a pump for pumping water, and in dry weather you need to periodically add water to the required volume. Both the reservoir and the fountain around the perimeter are decorated with flowers and herbs, perhaps even low shrubs. The main condition of the Italian style is the absence of chaos, everything must be thought out to the smallest detail, order must reign in everything.

The paths in the gardens, made for Italy, never wind thoughtfully under the crowns of trees and between the hills. The paths are always flat and are located either parallel to the boundaries of the site, or diagonally. Most often, the paths are paved with stone, similar to the one with which the pond or fountain is laid. This once again shows that the main thing in the Italian style is the harmonious arrangement of elements and the compatibility of materials.

An integral attribute of any garden, not only Italian, is a huge number of trees, bushes, herbs and flowers that grow not only along the perimeter and along the paths, but also among the paths. Benches, ponds, fountains and statues are drowned in an abundance of greenery. However, even here, one should not forget about straight lines.

Trees and bushes are given a curly look with regular trimming. You can learn topiary art on your own, now there are a huge number of tutorials on cutting trees, you can attend special courses. But if you want to organize the perfect Italian garden, it is better to turn to specialists in this field. They will help not only create a finished look of the garden, but also select the necessary plants and their shapes.

For an Italian garden, evergreens are wonderful, as well as tall potted plants. In summer, they will delight the eye and perfectly complement the overall look of the garden, and they can safely wait out the winter indoors. Laurel, lemon trees and other ornamental plants will look great.

Wall fountains will perfectly complement the Italian garden. They not only create the necessary atmosphere in this area of the garden, but also refresh on a hot day. It will not be superfluous to install a wrought-iron bench to admire the trickles of the fountain, read your favorite book, enjoying the summer coolness that beautifully blooming maiden grapes give. Grapes can be used to decorate a nearby wall or create a green gazebo.

In addition to beauty, an Italian garden should also have convenience. Installing wicker or wrought-iron furniture (benches, armchairs and tables) in the garden allows you to enjoy fragrant tea in the shade of trees and while singing birds, wrapped in a soft blanket and watching the stars. Placing cornices along alleys with not very bright flowers will give the garden individuality and delicate aroma.

For all the severity of the lines, the Italian style of the landscape is very gentle and cozy, it attracts and gives an indescribable feeling of harmony with nature and with oneself.
