Hibiscus syriacus

Syrian hibiscus is a deciduous shrub that grows up to 5-6 m. Loves sunny places protected from the wind. Hibiscus requires moist, permeable soil. In dry weather, it needs regular watering.

Maximum height of an adult hibiscus: 2-2.5 m. Maximum crown width: 1-1.5 m. Crown shape: dense. Leaves: three-lobed, up to 8-10 cm long. In summer they are green, in autumn they turn yellow.

Flowers: large, 10-12 cm in diameter. Flowering time is from mid-summer to early autumn. Growth rate: slow growing.

Location: Loves fertile soils, rich in humus. Prefers the sun. Hardy, but young plants need protection from the wind. Application: Hibiscus looks good at the entrance to the house, near the terrace, in the center of the lawn. Flower beds with flowers also look bright in the background. Features of the shrub: deciduous, long-flowering, distinguished by large flowers.
