In order for -poinsettia to bloom - in October-November, place the plant in the shade again, during this period the daylight hours should not exceed 8-10 hours, watering is rare, but not allowing the soil to dry out.
Lighting. Loves sunlight, but does not tolerate direct sunlight, burns may appear on the leaves. The ideal place is the west or east side, with the condition that an artificial screen in the form of a tulle curtain will be created between the window and the plant.
In summer, it is better to take out a flowerpot with a plant on a balcony or veranda. If this is not possible, then be sure to often ventilate the room where the poinsettia lives.

Then the plant should be placed in a warm place with a temperature of 20-22 ° C, watered abundantly, humidified the air and sprayed. With the advent of new shoots, no more than five of the most powerful are left, the rest are carefully cut off. The removed shoots are suitable for rooting.
Trimming and shaping. To achieve lush branching, after rooting, the plant is pruned. Also, pruning is carried out after flowering to a height of 10-15 cm above soil level.
Bloom. Bright bracts around small, nondescript yellow flowers adorn the exquisite beauty of the green shrub in winter, from early December to February. From March to April, a period of dormancy begins, at this time move the flowerpot with a flower to a dark, cool room with a temperature of 14-15 ° C.
Let the plant rest, only occasionally moisten the soil.
